Built on Passion from the Start
Built on Passion from the Start
Chesapeake Classic Restorations was built from a lifelong obsession with cars, craftsmanship, and creating something unforgettable. Long before Jon could legally drive, he was already building and modifying vehicles. Turning passion into hands-on experience through project cars like a 1983 RX-7, 1987 Grand National, and a 1971 Nova. Growing up in upstate New York, the heart of the rust belt, Jon was surrounded by the raw culture of American muscle cars and hands-on restoration. Weekend drag racing trips to Lucky Drag City in Wattsburg, PA and countless hours working alongside his father, uncle, and mentors helped shape the skills and discipline that would later define Chesapeake Classic Restorations.

From Art Teacher to Master Restorer
From Art Teacher to Master Restorer
Jon completed his first full build at just 21 years old with the 1971 Nova, proving early that he had more than interest, he had talent. After finishing college, he moved to Maryland and spent 12 years teaching art in the Easton, MD area, but never stopped building. Whether it was restoring classic vehicles, motorcycles, furniture, homes, or creating sculptures and custom projects, Jon’s drive to create never turned off. Every summer, every spare moment, he was restoring something, and the dream of opening a professional classic car restoration and custom auto build shop continued to grow. What started out as retirement goals quickly became a calling that couldn’t wait.

Our mission expanded beyond restoration into complete automotive customization, leading to the creation of Chesapeake Custom Graphics, providing services like window tinting, vehicle wraps, commercial wraps, and full custom finishes. Together, our brands offer one complete destination for restoration, custom builds, and modern customization, built on passion, precision, and pride.
